It’s June y’alll and one of my favorite months.... why because it’s the month that the Lord blessed me to enter into this world, June 16 for those who need a reminder. This birthday is special because it falls on Father’s day and although my earthly father is no longer here, I choose to honor the father who will forever live, God. So, this month I will be meditating and sharing a few revelations about God and who He has said He is.
Day 1: We are meditating on God as I Am! He revealed this name to Moses who was in somewhat of a state of shock having been called to the forefront to deliver the Israelites from Egypt. God’s name is so important because in Moses’s moment of fear and doubt regarding how the Israelites would respond to him, God pretty much solidified his authority and position as God. He tells Moses to tell the Israelites he is I AM! This was as if God was letting it be known that He is the One true God despite the many gods man had created.
For me, I’m reminded of the power He has. He’s eternal and limitless. Anytime I get into a state of worry, fear, or doubt, I challenge myself to think of God as I Am knowing he above everything I see as a hindrance.
Read Exodus 3:13-15 and take a moment to think of God as I Am. What adjectives come to mind when you think of God as I Am? How do you believe he is I Am in your life today?
After you read, meditate, and reflect send a video, a post of your journal or even a message expressing how God is I Am in your life. Use #GreatIAmChallenge, repost and share this post or tag a friend! Until tomorrow remember God as the I Am in your life.
13 Then Moses said to God, “Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers (ancestors) has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ What shall I say to them?” 14 God said to Moses, “[a]I Am Who I Am”; and He said, “You shall say this to the Israelites, ‘I Am has sent me to you.’” 15 Then God also said to Moses, “This is what you shall say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob (Israel), has sent me to you.’ This is My [b]Name forever, and this is My memorial [name] to all generations.
